hi… I'm Emma

I am a research-driven graphic designer, specialising in editorial design, UX/UI design, and branding. My attention to typographic detail helps to shape my work as visually engaging and purposeful outcomes.
As a University of Reading graduate (www.reading.ac.uk/typography), I am skilled across a range of design disciplines and can clearly communicate my design process – from initial research and concept development to sketching and refinement. I believe that the thinking behind a project is often just as important, if not more, than the final outcome itself.
My most recent work experience comes in the form of typographic research – working alongside Dr Irmi Wachendorff to identify and organise different blackletter scripts from a collection of over 1000 photos taken in public European spaces. This was a valuable experience that taught me the technical details of typographic identification.
